Over the weekend, I recently celebrated my birthday with a big yacht party bash at Lake Lanier similar to my 30th birthday. Ensuring that I kept up with the I Am Black Business mantra, all businesses hired for the party were black owned. Thanks to these five businesses, the party was a huge success.
Food was provided by Savoy Bar and Grill which is partially owned by a long time IABB supporter – Eli Williams. Food was also provded by Tip Top Tastes, owned by personal chef and caterer Tiffany Campbell. Located in Stockbridge, GA, Savoy Bar and Grill provides excellent food and service. The cajun honey wings and the baked beans with ground turkey and peppers were amongst the top four favorite dishes that were prepared. Attendees also enjoyed the lemon pepper wings and the chicken and turkey Andouille jambalaya prepared by Tiffany Campbell. Her attention to detail with the flavor had the guests coming back for more throughout the night.
Drinks were served by Tending Services, owned by Cheryl Davis. The bartender for the evening was Crystal. Her attitude and rapport with the guests was remarkable. With such a large group, she was able to keep the drinks flowing and demonstrated a high level of professionalism.
Next were the awesome tunes from the DJ, Humberto Perel, DJ POPO. He created a lively atmosphere, playing music from a variety of genres and eras. Most importantly, his equipment was top notch, delivering great sound throughout the evening.
Last but not least were the hookahs provided by Courtney and Red Room Mobile Cigar Lounge. Red Room provided six quality hookahs with all of the necessary accessories needed for my guests to relax while listening to DJ Popo and watching the fireworks in the distance. With Red Room’s 26-foot custom trailer the mobile cigar and/or hookah experience can be brought to you for your private event, tailgate or party.
