Entrepreneurship seems to be at an all-time high. Many people are deciding to pursue businesses outside of their current 9 – 5 situation. With these pursuits usually happening after hours, some would say Work/Life balance is key to success; however, I suggest that Work/Life/Hustle balance is actually what’s needed to be successful. At the end of the day, the end goal is to replace that 9 – 5 with the side hustle. Below are some tips from the IABB team to help you keep balance while developing that side hustle.
- Joe Guster – My productivity tip is to write everything down. Energy is wasted when you have to try to remember what you have to do. That energy is better used toward actual work. Being organized and sticking to a system will allow you to optimize your time and get more done with less time.
- Lee Lewis – Dedicate time to do things that make you happy and keep you centered, and never allow work to interfere. For me, this includes spending time with family and working out. When I’m with family or in the gym, I disconnect and focus on rejuvenation.
- Gabrail Cook – Allocate time to everything. Account for every second. As tedious as it sounds, it actually saves you time. If you allot time for all of your tasks, be it family, work or even eating, you’ll be able to clearly see where your time is being spent and adjust accordingly. Some things you can’t affect. If you work 3 jobs it’s not hard to see where the majority of your time is allocated.
- Mike Twum – Take the time out to learn from others that you believe can help rejuvenate, thus increase your productivity in your overall life and in business. For me those people are my family, friends, mentors and business partners. I’ve see the impact those people have had in helping me be a more productive individual.
We hope that you all find these tips helpful in pushing forward with your side hustle. As always, you can reach out to the IABB team for any questions or help with business development. If we can’t answer your question, I’m sure there is an individual or organization in our directory that can help you.
