The development team has been hard at work on the native mobile apps; however, they did find time to squash a few bugs and make a few enhancements to the web based directory and underlying search query. We’re happy to announce our latest release – the Coltrane Release. Below is a list of updates.
- Closed businesses are now displayed last in results – we did not want to simply delete a closed business from the directory but keep the business in the directory to inform users that it is closed.
- Closed businesses on mobile views – the closed ribbon is now displayed for closed businesses when using a mobile device.
- IABB Map Embed – we are internally testing a new feature that will allow users to embed a map highlighting businesses from our directory with additional information on their websites. You can see a sample of the beta version at https://iamblackbusiness.com/maps/small-biz-week-blackout.php. Stay tuned for public access.
- Bug: Zoom Issues – a user found an issue with the rendering of some pages when the zoom is set to be less than 100%.
- Bug: Registration Errors – errors on the registration page were incorrectly displayed at the very top of the page where a user might not see the error.
- Bug: Display Hour Checkbox – when updating a business listing, the display business hours checkbox was displayed in a location that didn’t make it evident that it toggles whether business hours are displayed.
