I’m sure you have seen the phrase, “More than a Directory,” used multiple times throughout our website and marketing materials. That phrase has a two-fold meaning for I Am Black Business.
The first meaning is that we want this website and future development to ignite a movement within the black community. That movement consists of black consumers becoming more conscious about where they spend their money as well as black businesses stepping up their game and becoming great businesses that offer first class service and products. Working together, consumers and businesses can slowly but surely make a difference in the community through ensuring our financial influence is felt politically and generationally.
The second meaning covers our future plans for development on the technology side of the company. We think that creating a directory of black owned businesses is great, but it is only the tip of the iceberg. This is why our directory will always be free to our business owners. Even though we’re taking the time to build a directory that is best of breed in comparison to the other directories, we also understand that we can leverage even more technology to drive the movement forward. As of right now, we cannot share any details regarding our future development efforts; however, you can count on them to be high quality and deliver value to both black consumers and black owned businesses.
