New year, new me? Not likely. As we all know January is a month laden with resolutions, gym enrollments and W-2s. While it’s hard to break away from every sweet delicacy that Patti LaBelle releases, it’s even harder to not only commit to a resolution, but execute it flawlessly.
Not all resolutions have to be an unrealistic challenge or an ultimatum. Some times making small changes to your everyday routine/life can contribute to a bigger goal. It’s not how you start a resolution, but how you finish.
The most perennial resolution since Babylonian times is fitness complemented with a healthy diet. Approximately 1 out of every 2.5 Americans pledge fitness goals or general self improvement based on a recent University of Scranton study.
So if you are the lucky 1, we’d like to challenge you to add the resolution of supporting Black owned businesses in the pursuit of a better you.
I Am Black Business is committed to helping you deliver on that resolution. We have listings for all of your fitness needs including: gyms, life coaches, general nutrition stores, and your favorite juice bar. But, we need your help. We’d like to offer more black owned options to all of our health conscious supporters. Unfortunately, there are several businesses that have not been added to the directory. Please help us by adding black owned businesses that you support.
Here is a list of businesses from the fitness category to get started:
