August is National Black Business month. Although we should support black businesses all year, the month of August has been set aside to lift up the men and women that have successfully created and sustained black owned businesses.

The National Black Business Month concept was created by Frederick E. Jordan and William Templeton. IABB promotes and supports this initiative and would like everyone to spread the word. Please review their website for more information.

In honor of this month, I Am Black Business is kicking off a series of events aimed at supporting black owned businesses.

Black Business Crawl – Peter’s Street

IABB is excited to celebrate black business month by supporting black owned business on Peter’s street in the heart of Atlanta. Our team recently participated in a small scale crawl that was very successful. We’d like to open up the crawl to our supporters, with hopes of motivating and inspiriting our black business owners on Peter’s street.

Most importantly, the purpose of the crawl is to support the businesses, so we would encourage everyone to patronize one or two businesses. Again, look out for a formal invitation via our social media outlets.

  • Name:  Black Business Crawl – Peter’s Street
  • When: August 28th
  • Time:  6:30pm – 8:30pm
  • Where: Starting at Bludso’s BBQ – 323 Walker St SW, Atlanta, GA 30313

Thanks in advance for your support.  Please continue to share the link to our site and encourage your network to utilize the site and add businesses to the directory.
