For the last 3 years, ARTiculate ATL 2016 has consistently served the art community with an event that organically spurs creativity amongst artists and art lovers. The master minds behind the event, Urban Art Expression and Ball-n-Co, have managed to bring an unparalleled artistic experience to the city of Atlanta. This year’s event, at the Mason Finen Art Gallery, put on a very inspiring and vibrant showcase of various works of art.
Upon entering the venue, I could immediately feel the positive energy beaming off all of the different types of art enthusiast, including art collectors, artists, and those new to the scene. Walking through the art gallery, there were a lot of artists and exquisite pieces that caught my attention. I purchased art from two amazing artists: Edmund Royster from Art of Rufus and Ren from Ren’s Work. Each of their pieces are displayed below.
I can honestly say that as ARTiculate has continued to get bigger and better over the years, I’ve grown to appreciate the interaction between the artists, the art aficionados and those new to the art scene. Speaking to Ren not only about his pieces, which by the way are exquisite, but also about his background really compelled me to purchase his artwork and subscribe to his email list. Even after the event, I began to show my support for artists like Ren and Ruby Chavez from ImaginInk Studios by posting their artwork via social media.
Urban Art Expression and Ball-n-Co continue to fulfill its mission by exposing local artist to the city of Atlanta. I encourage you to keep both companies and this event on your radar for 2017 and beyond. I also encourage you to support your local artists not only by purchasing their artwork, but by attending and bringing others with you to their art events. Most importantly, remember that the proceeds from this event will benefit the Urban Art Expression Youth Artists Program – bridging the artistic exposure gap for artistically talented youth.
